Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner Proclaims July as Uterine Fibroids Awareness Month

Mayor Sylvester Turner has designated the month of July as Uterine Fibroids Awareness Month to educate local women about uterine fibroids and the many treatment options available.

Houston Fibroids and Complete Women's Care gathered together to celebrate this proclamation and continue our efforts of educating and highlighting this common, often overlooked condition.

More than 320,000 women in Houston are at-risk for developing uterine fibroids with African American women disproportionately impacted.
